Lions Tigers and Bears Oh MY!

Today we went to the wild animal park to help them plant these acacia trees that will later on be used to feed the animals. First we had this really long, but very educational presentation on the plants and animals that were affected by the fire. Did you know that after a fire, you should not walk on the burned ground because it can create a permanent trail. The we loaded into those cool trucks that they use in the photo safaris and we drove up to the spot. We saw a whole bunch a Indian RHINOS, IN THE AREA THAT THE TRAM DOES NOT GET TO SEE! SO WE KIND OF GOT TO GO BEHIND THE SCENES! Sorry, I accidentally hit the caps lock button. I kind of got a sunburn! Which i good because I am trying to tan! We planted like 4 little acacia trees! I hope they stay there! We put these deer guards up. They are made up of the same things that PVC pipes are made out of. Except that they don't have this chemical in them and without this chemical, the fence breaks down after a while cause of the sun light. So by the time that the plant is big enough to not get trouble from deer, the fence is gone! Isn't that a smart idea?

You are so bright Maddie! The part regarding the supports for the plants is very well explained. :)

You are too funny...glad to get a sunburn because you "need to tan." Love it!

I really like how you described the truck. It gave me a really great visual. It seems like you really enjoyed planting trees. :)
